API Quantity per Batch Calculator — Single & Multi-Lot Allocation

API Quantity per Batch Calculator — Single & Multi-Lot Allocation

  • Purpose: This calculator determines the assay-corrected API quantity to be weighed for a batch and performs lot-wise allocation using FIFO, FEFO, or purity-based strategies, ensuring optimal utilization of available API lots with clear calculation traceability and printable documentation.
  • Enter the Name of API / Material for identification and print records.
  • Enter the Theoretical API Quantity per batch and select the appropriate Unit (mg / g / kg).
  • Select Single Lot or Multiple Lots mode based on the number of API lots used per batch.
  • Use Add Lot to enter Lot ID, Available Quantity, Unit, Assay (as-is %), and Expiry Date, then click Save.
  • Choose the Allocation Strategy: FIFO, FEFO, Highest-Purity First, or Lowest-Purity First.
  • Expiry Date is mandatory for all lots when using FEFO (First Expiry First Out) strategy.
  • Select Display Unit and Display Decimals for on-screen and printed results.
  • Click Calculate to obtain assay-corrected quantity to weigh and lot-wise allocation.
  • If the Available Quantity is insufficient, the calculator displays shortage and the maximum achievable API.
  • Use Show Detailed Calculation to view step-by-step allocation logic after calculation.
  • Use Print / Save as PDF to generate a report. Always review the printed report for correctness before use.

⚠️ Multiple-Lots: The number of API lots to be used per single batch shall not exceed the limit defined in applicable internal procedures or the Quality Agreement.
