Batch-to-Lot Equipment Capacity Selection Calculator - Tablets
- Purpose: This calculator suggests appropriate equipment capacity and lot sizing for tablet manufacturing based on batch size, process type, tablet characteristics, bulk densities, and defined equipment occupancy limits, supporting informed equipment selection with clear and printable results.
- Select the Process Type as Direct Compression or Wet Granulation.
- Select the Tablet Type as Coated or Uncoated.
- Enter the Batch Size (Nos) to be manufactured.
- Enter the Core Tablet Weight (mg/tab).
- For Coated Tablets, enter the Coated Tablet Weight (mg/tab).
- For Wet Granulation, enter:
- Dry Mix Quantity (mg/tab)
- Wet Mix Quantity (mg/tab)
- Enter applicable Bulk Densities (g/cc) for:
- Dry Mix
- Lubricated Blend
- Coated Tablet (if applicable)
- Review Equipment Occupancy Limits (%). Pre-filled values are indicative, but all values are editable within qualified / approved ranges:
- RMG Min / Max
- Blender Min / Max
- FBD/FBP Min / Max
